Gandhi in Me

Unable to sleep, rolling on the bed I waited for the morning to dawn
And here goes the story as my mind went for a rewind
One day a woman stabbed me from behind
One day a woman stabbed me from behind

I wished the wound was fatal
Yet I survived just like a mortal
But what surprised me was me
I lived on but my hatred didn't

I searched not for the person but for the circumstance
I chose not revenge but justice
I shall give not but Love
That is how I chose to Live

My perpetrator taught me my Dharma
How empowered I was amidst the drama
Now, I must be the change that I want to see
And that is how I found the Gandhi in Me
